Serving the Community

Classroom Experience

With 100% of my years as an educator spent in Pleasanton schools (primarily at Amador and Harvest Park) I have a deep understanding of how policies set by the DO affect students, staff, and families here in Pleasanton.

Budget Expertise

Through my service on the Superintendent's Budget Advisory Committee, I have a deep, thorough knowledge and understanding of PUSD's budget. The ongoing challenges our district faces are difficult, but not insurmountable. We have to maximize efficiency of dollars spent, minimize redundancies of programs and materials, and increase dollars brought into our district by means of state allocations, grants, and community-based after school programs.

Collaborative Leadership

As a school-based community leader for the past decade, I've been elected president by my peers 5 times, working to bring all stakeholders together across the Pleasanton community to fund and support our schools and their students, staff, and families. No matter our differences, we all agree that school is for EVERYONE. I will work to identify, attract, and retain not only the best teachers and staff, but to ensure Pleasanton is the place our next superintendent is excited to join and invest themselves.

Inviting Investment

Our schools work best for our entire community when ALL stakeholders know their contributions are appreciated. As a longtime PTA and boosters leader, I'm always seeking new and better ways to bring more voices into the conversation. Our greatest solution-based ideas result from diverse perspectives approaching a problem together, something I've worked to bring about before, and I am excited to continue in the days ahead.
